embedded software to enable PsipTN connectivity

TelTel has made it easy for OEM/ODM device manufacturers to connect their hardware devices directly to the PsipTN network by using Keystone, a TelTel supplied PsipTN enabling software module. Keystone is a light weight SIP user agent library with small foot print to allow itself to be easily embedded into various network capable hardware devices. By embedding Keystone in their hardware devices, device manufacturers have the ability to instantly transform their products to be network discoverable and remotely manageable over the PsipTN.

Available under Linux, BSD and Windows CE operating system, Keystone is portable to many SoC's and it seamlessly connects the device at hand to the PsipTN network. Keystone-enabled devices enjoy many of the benefits by being PsipTN compliant including automatic provisioning, plug-and-play, worry free firewall and NAT traversal, best media routing, anti-blocking, anti-spoofing, and automatic firmware upgrade.

Furthermore, devices so connected to the PsipTN will be remotely manageable over the Internet thus offering end users a much wider degree of freedom in setting up, configuring and using the devices from anywhere in the world.

Lastly, application developers can generate new applications to operate on any chosen PsipTN enabled devices to broaden the reach and applicability of the application at hand. Hence PsipTN enabled devices will enjoy a much wider usage and popularity due to the potentially large number of applications designed to operate on such devices. The end result is a new generation ecosystem where PsipTN based applications and PsipTN enabled devices fuel each other’s growth.
