TelTel Launches SVNO Program Enabling Service Providers
To Provide IP Telephony Without Building Own Infrastructure
Managed backbone allows partners to provide co-branded VoIP + multimedia
Santa Clara, California, Sep 12, 2005
SANTA CLARA, CA ˇV September 12, 2005 ˇV TelTel, a provider of SIP-based global Internet
telephony with presence-enabled features, today announced the launch of the TelTel
SIP Virtual Network Operators (SVNO) Partnership Program. The program will enable ISPs,
ITSPs, CLECs, carriers and other Internet service and content providers to offer SIP-based
telephony and multimedia services without having to build their own SIP infrastructure.
Partnered service providers will also be able to leverage the Public SIP Telephone Network (PsipTN),
a network backbone and turnkey solution operated by TelTel.
TelTelˇ¦s SVNO Partnership Program is ideal for service providers that are seeking an immediately
available total solution for rapid penetration into the VoIP marketplace. Partners will be able to either
provide VoIP as an independent service or an additional value-added service bundled with existing
offerings.
For a one time fee and future revenue sharing opportunities, the program includes access to the
proven PsipTN platform, SIP termination and origination, a feature-rich softphone available for
partner customization, full integration with the partnerˇ¦s existing operation and customization with
legacy network. SVNO partners will be able to deliver conferencing, voice mail, and PBX features
for enterprise solutions. They will also have web portals to manage their services and monitor the
growth of their user.
In addition to these benefits, each SVNO partner will have the option of offering customers
co-branded and remote configurable SIP equipment such as IP phones, ATA and video phones.
SVNO partners who have their own network capacity may also connect the network to the SIP
infrastructure by offering their own termination and origination to the PsipTN. They can still use the
PsipTNˇ¦s existing termination and originations for areas outside their coverage area.
Several billing and payment system options are available to SVNO partners. They may use or
build their own billing and payment systems or use TelTelˇ¦s complete payment solution, which
includes merchant account services and a billing portal. Partners who have their own payment
system can interface with TelTelˇ¦s billing system via TelTelˇ¦s supplied billing API.
"SVNO partnership program is an innovative business concept designed for rapid deployment of
VoIP services within a partnerˇ¦s current marketplace," said Jack Chang, Chief Operating Officer of
TelTel. "Our partners will have a strong competitive edge over others by leveraging TelTelˇ¦s
proven expertise and know-how in delivering complete end-to-end VoIP solutions to their customers."
