Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, US

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in software development of TelTel products and services from prototype and analysis of requirements to architecture, design and development in large volume web application environment
  • Collaborate with product management and UI designers to refine the user experience from concept development to final productization
  • Develop high-fidelity functional design prototypes to demonstrate proof of concepts
  • Evaluate third-party & open-source technologies to see how they may benefit to our product scope and deliverables
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to work with little direction
  • Communicate with off-shoring team to productize the prototype when necessary

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Web related design and development
  • 3+ years of experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment
  • 2+ years of experience with Rich Internet Application and Web 2.0 related technology,
    • HTML, DOM, DHTML, XHTML, CSS
    • Javascript, Ajax, Flash, and Flex
    • XML, XPATH, XLT, SOAP, WSDL
    • Browser plug-in and extension
    • Cross browser development
  • Extensive experience developing high volume consumer e-commerce web sites
  • Solid understanding of foundation technologies like,

Principle System Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, US

Responsibilities:

  • Present and demonstrate TelTel technologies and solutions to resellers and customers, both on-site or through online tools.
  • Assist sales in answering pre-sales questions, defining SOW, and compiling customer requirements.
  • Assist in post-sales activities including prototype development, project management, system deployment, and problem trouble shooting.
  • Work with R&D team to track bug-fixes and feature-requests, and resolve escalated customer issues.
  • Work with business development and marketing group in preparing marketing material including technical white paper.
  • Some travel to customers sites needed, and is available for after hour, on-call activities as needed

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5+ years experience in Telecom or Internet service related fields.
  • Prior sales engineering experience with Internet and Telecom related product and service is plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Internet networking and related application protocols.
  • Extensive hands-on administrative experience with Linux servers and various networking gears.
  • Good understanding and troubleshooting skills of VoIP infrastructures and protocols, including SIP RFC 3261, Firewall/NAT traversal, audio and video Codec, PSTN, NGN & IMS.
  • Familiar with the VoIP market and be able to compare different products and identify each advantages and disadvantages.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure, either individually, or as part of a team.
  • Good writing skill to be able to articulate ideas and eventually turn it into white paper to distribute to customer.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with customer oriented focus.

Business Development Manager

Location: Santa Clara, US

Responsibilities:

  • High visibility hands-on position responsible for partner program development and business development with service providers, equipment manufacturers and partners in the territory of the United States.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the Voice-over-IP industry and be self directed and self motivated in execution.
  • Must be result oriented and have proven track records in a start-up environment.

Customer Service Engineer

Location: Taipei, Beijing

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line support for our customers and partners.
  • Open, follow up, and close trouble tickets.
  • Act as first line interface with partners and customers, act as liaison between customers/partners and operation engineers.
  • Conduct customer callbacks.
  • Complete initial troubleshooting steps for various symptom of user's issue.
  • Participates in user acceptance testing (UAT) and user training.

Requirements:

  • Some previous customer service experience, preferably in the area of Telecom and Internet service provider.

Operation Manager/Director

Location: Taipei

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operation to ensure maximum service availability and quality for TelTel infrastructure, system, and services.
  • Monitor and analyze operation issue to ensure problems are identified and solved as rapidly and efficiently.
  • Develop and document operating procedures to support the day to day operations.
  • Assess requirements, alternatives, and risks/benefits for various operation projects.
  • Recommends and identifies opportunities and solutions to improve service efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Is available for after hour, on-call activities as needed.
  • Engage in daily operation tasks with extensive hand on work.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering with a minimum 8 years experience in related IT related field.
  • At least 3 years of project and people management experience in managing large systems infrastructure with Internet related service or operation.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related application protocols.
  • Extensive experience with Linux environment with strong hands-on administrator ability in either networking or system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Operations environments with understanding of existing voice and data communication technology.
  • Working knowledge of modern telecom and IP transport services and capabilities.
  • VoIP experience with knowledge with SIP protocol is a big plus.

Sr. Software Engineer - Web Application

Location: Taipei

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop business and operation support system for TelTel service.
  • Work with operation team closely to deliver new services and features.
  • Serve as a project lead or individual contributor depending on project assignment.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial software development experience.
  • Experience in developing web based application using Java.
  • Expert level knowledge with HTTP, HTML, and XML.
  • Good understanding of J2EE system architecture, web services and other distributed technologies.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and Database system like Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres.
  • Basic knowledge of JSP / Struts or similar dynamic web page delivery system.
